Moe’s credentials include a Masters Level in coaching from USA Hockey and participation in the mentorship program for the US Women’s National Hockey Team. Moe played at Wilton High School and then took a PG year at Berkshire School before graduating from Nasson College.
Moe’s list of accomplishments is lengthy; however, he is most proud of his work helping girls get into prep schools and colleges. His ability to guide student athletes in the right direction is a direct result of years spent coaching and teaching. Moe’s philosophies and “words of wisdom” play an important role in his coaching, both on and off the ice.

Girls U16-1 – Chris Kiene
Chris brings professional and top-level college playing experience and an unmatched coaching track record to Mid Fairfield. From South Windsor, CT, Chris was selected by the NJ Devils in the 1984 NHL Entry draft. He then played for NCAA Hockey East Merrimack College before joining the Utica Devils of the AHL. He also played professionally for the Johnstown Chiefs of the ECHL and the Moncton Hawks of the AHL.
Chris has coached for Mid Fairfield for the past five years, and his accomplishments have been second to none. He has coached two different teams to the Tier 1 USA Hockey National Championship. He has also taken three other teams to the Tier 1 National Championships. He is the only coach to have led both a boys and a girls team to this Championship. Chris has also coached many boys who have gone on to play at major Division 1 college programs and in the NHL.
Girls U16-2 – Jeff Beck
From 2004 through 2008, Jeff has coached with the CT Stars at the U-12, U-14 and U-16 level and was the goalie coordinator for the program in 2007/2008. From 1990 through 2000, Jeff was a goalie coach for the Wilton High School boy’s varsity team and held the same position from 2005 to 2008 with the Joel Barlow HS boys team. Jeff also coached various youth travel teams from 1997 through 2003 in the Washington Gunnery program. Jeff played for Rochester in the NY-Penn League, then played 2 years for Queens University in Kingston, Ontario in the mid/late 70’s. He resides in Redding, CT with his wife and 3 kids.
Girls U16-2 -- Harry Geary
Harry was born in New Brunswick, NJ but considers Ridgefield, CT home because he moved there when he was six years old. Harry attended the University of Connecticut, where he majored in finance and played both ice hockey and club lacrosse.
His long-time involvement in the sport of hockey had its roots here – Harry was an All-American and was named to the New England Sports Writers All-Star team twice. He also had a try-out with the Los Angeles Kings the year that Wayne Gretzky joined the team. After playing two years of minor league hockey, Harry played for a year in s'Hertogenbosch, Holland. He then moved back to Fairfield County, CT and spent the next 18 years coaching local high school and youth hockey programs. For 11 of those years, Harry also taught math in the Connecticut public schools.
Now at The Gunnery, Harry teaches both Algebra I and Algebra II and coaches boys’ JV hockey and JV baseball. He is a dorm parent where he lives with his wife and two children.
Girls U14-1 – Kerry Leonard
Kerry Leonard brings strong coaching and playing experience. During her college hockey career, she was a freshman starter for the University of Southern Maine, earning an ECAC East Honorable Mention and being named to the All Rookie team in 2003. After transferring to Hamilton College, she was a starter in 2004-2007 and was named Assistant Captain and Team MVP in her senior year. She also helped lead the team to the NESCAC FInal Fourn in 2005 and 2007.
As a coach, Kerry most recently led the Wilton High School Girl's Varsity hockey team though its inaugural year, earning the FCIAC Coach of the Year titla for 2008-9. She also has been an assistant coach for the Colby College Women's Ice Hockey team, helping to lead that program to its first ever appearance in the NESCAC championship game. Kerry has also been an assistant coach for the Mid Fairfield Connecticut Stars U-16 team, as well as a coach and counselor at the Hamilton Hockey School and Elite Hockey Camp.
Girls U14-1 – Matt Stack
Matt is the Vice-President of Hockey at BlueStreak Sports Training and brings a vast knowledge of hockey to Mid-Fairfield. Matt has overseen the athlete development and training at BlueStreak for the past five years, working closely with athletes in the Tri-state area at BlueStreak facilities in Stamford, Hauppauge and Chelsea Piers.
Prior to BlueStreak, Matt played professional hockey with the Adirondack Ice Hawks of the United Hockey League, the “AA” affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes. Matt was also a first round selection of the Miami Manatees in the inaugural WHA2 season.
Prior to his professional career Matt graduated from New England College where he received a BA in sports business and management. He helped captain both the hockey and lacrosse teams during his time at NEC and helped lead their hockey and lacrosse team to four NCAA births. Matt was named to both the North-South All-Star team for lacrosse and Division III Senior All-Star team for hockey.
Matt’s passion lies in development of the complete hockey player on and off the ice. Currently 14 of his students have been drafted into the NHL and over 51 one of his students are playing at the NCAA level. Currently Matt scouts for the USNTDP and USA Hockey for New York and Rocky Mountain districts, and in 2008 was asked to coach USA Hockey Select 15 Festival in St. Cloud, MN. He is also a certified USA Hockey coach as well as Athletic Republic Level III trainer.

Girls U12-1 – George Jerolman
George Jerolman currently coaches the Hamden High School Varsity Boy's Hockey Team and successfully led the team to a Connecticut Division I State Championship for the 2008-09 season. Jerolman, a native of Hamden is also an alumnus of Hamden High School.
After graduating from Hamden HS, Jerolman served as a highly decorated Corporal in the USMC and did tours in Iraq and Somalia during Operation Desert Storm and Operation Restore Hope.
Jerolman served as coach for the Boy's Varsity Hockey Team at Lyman Hall HS from 2000 through 2007. He has also coached in the Hamden Youth Hockey Association since 1996 and has served as the organization's Coaching Director for the past two seasons.
Girls U12-2 – Lance Marciano
Lance has 30+ years of hockey experience. He played college hockey at Yale University, has coached Mites at Mid Fairfield since 2004 and the Girls U-12 team for the 2008-09 season.
