USA Hockey Online Registration for the 2008-09 season is now available. All players must register for the 2008-09 season online via the USA Hockey website. Please click here or on the USA Hockey Registration button to the left for additional registration instructions and for a link to the USA Hockey registratoin website.
After you complete the registration process, please print your registration confirmation for your records. You will also receive an electronic confirmation from USA Hockey. Please forward the electronic confirmation to your team manager, who will collect them and submit them in one batch to the Mid Fairfield registrar. All Mid Fairfield Midget teams have been entered in the McCraw CT Kickoff Showcase, August 22-24 in Cromwell, CT and the Labor Day Tier One Faceoff Tournament, August 29-September 1 in Marlboro, MA and surrounding rinks. More information to follow.

One hundred forty-five student athletes representing the ECAC Hockey's 12 women's programs were named to the 2008 ECAC Hockey All-Academic team. Students named have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or have an average GPA of 3.0 over the last three semesters.
We are proud to announce that 3 of our STARS players continue to pursue excellence in the classroom and on the ice! Congratulations!

Oly Hicks, coach of Manhattanville's mens hockey team, is offering a Skills and Drills clinic this spring. There will be weekly sessions intended for 95/96 and 93/94 birth years. The clinic is strictly focused on developing the individual skills of skating, shooting and puck handling. Team tactics (power play, breakouts ... 3v2) will not be addressed. This clinic is an excellent way for motivated players to supplement their spring hockey schedule or just keep skills sharp!
Sessions are Tuesday nights at Darien, April 22 – June 10.

This is a weekly 2 hour, 12 week long program (22.5 hours of ice time) developed by Marvin Minkler, Tomasz Piatek and the STR Hockey Department. Unmotivated players need not apply – Dedicated, motivated, hard working players will be accepted at the discretion of the instructors. Sessions are Tuesday evenings June 3 - August 19. Rand Pecknold coaches the Div 1 Quinnipiac University Mens Ice Hockey team and is offering summer clinics for various age groups at the TD Banknorth Sports Center in Hamden, CT:
- Session 1 (July 28-August 1): Separate sessions for players 7-9 and 10-13
- Session 2 (July 29-August 14): Three week night program with separate sessions for ages 6-9 and 10-14
- Session 3 (August 11-15): Separate sessions for players 6-8 and 9-12

Coach Tomasz Piatek will be conducting Spring and Summer power skating sessions at Stamford Twin Rinks. Players will master edge control to gain the speed advantage in different game situations: coming out of turns, control skating and bursts of speed, explosive transition while turning or pivoting and quick starts.
